Unissued Bophuthatswana DPM Short Sleeve Shirt
These short sleeve shirts come with two button-flap chest pockets and a button-up front. Unissued.
The Bophuthatswana Defence Force (BDF) was formed in 1977 after Bophuthatswana declared independence as a Bantustan under apartheid South Africa. Initially outfitted in dark olive green uniforms similar in cut to the SADF, the BDF adopted a unique DPM camouflage between 1990 and 1994, featuring black, brown, and green shapes on a khaki background.
This pattern provided effective concealment in local terrain. The BDF operated until 1994, when Bophuthatswana was reabsorbed into South Africa, and its forces were integrated into the SANDF.
