Unissued Canadian Mk.II Combat Jacket

As the Cold War escalated into the 1960s, Canada's armed forces found themselves unprepared. Their farrago of antiquated uniforms and gear was completely unsuited to an increasingly uncertain era.

A solution came in the form of the "Uniform, Combat General Service," sometimes  referred to as "Combat(s)."  Comprised of climate and layer-specific pieces, the system would ultimately last over thirty years and would see service in all three branches leading up to their unification.

The Lightweight Coat Combat Mk. II is the warm/hot-weather cousin of its heavier alternative. Just like the venerable M65, the Mk. II is made of super-versatile NyCo fabric. What separates the two is that the Mk. II has an almost porous texture, allowing excellent breathability without sacrificing durability. Later variants are currently on offer; these received a waist hem in exchange for elbow reinforcements. All things considered, the iconic FAL magazine pockets, fitted shoulders, and sharp collar make this a uniquely stylish piece in the world of field jackets.

Features:

  • Four total pockets
  • Made of breathable 50/50 NyCo Sateen
  • Authentic Canadian Surplus
  • Mid/lower draw-adjustable
  • Zip-up front
  • Deadstock condition

Canadian Sizing:

Canadian sizing is comprised of two sets of figures encompassing the wearer's height/chest  ##/##.  Meant to work as a general range, a 7346 is ideal for someone approximately 6 feet tall with a chest measurement of about 46 inches.

The corresponding chest and overall height measurements have been provided.
